At MacDonald Oates we are guided by our core values. These are to be Open, Responsible and Fair.

We live our values every day and they run through every part of our business.

These values not only govern the way we act within the firm, but they also determine how we interact with other people and organisations.  This is manifested in the following ways:-

Our People

Our core values are shared by everyone who works at MacDonald Oates.

We are a vibrant firm and have a culture where individuals are encouraged to thrive and develop in line with our diversity and equality plan.

Everyone at the firm has a personal training plan which identifies areas where skills and expertise can be continually developed in order to further enhance the benefits we can deliver to our clients through the highest levels of client service.

We are proud of the excellent retention rate of our staff.

Our Community

We are actively involved in our local community through a combination of sponsorship and promotion, whilst we also have an active programme of supporting charities. Read more about the firm’s Sponsorship and Charity work.

We appreciate that as a firm and as individuals within the firm we can make a contribution other than a financial one. People who work at MacDonald Oates therefore give their time and energy in a range of ways. These include being school governors, being involved in community projects and members of local business organisations and supporting the local branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to name just a few.

Our Environment

We recognise that we can make a positive contribution to the environment and some of the ways in which this is achieved include:-

  • Using local suppliers wherever possible
  • Using suppliers who share our values wherever possible
  • A policy of turning off lights and monitors when not in use
  • Promoting the re-cycling waste paper and other materials including ink cartridges
  • A “think before you print” policy
