We are pleased to announce that Hazel Manktelow has qualified as a Resolution Family Mediator and is now offering mediation appointments in both our Midhurst and Petersfield offices.

 

Hazel Manktelow is a Resolution trained solicitor/mediator who has been practising family law as a solicitor for 7 years. Hazel is a Resolution accredited specialist in matters relating to finances and domestic violence as well as being a member of the Law Society’s family law panel. Hazel joined MacDonald Oates in 2005.

 

 

Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution which is becoming more mainstream and many hope will one day become the norm rather than the alternative. It is an alternative to help couples come to agreement following their separation by avoiding costly and lengthy court battles. It is a process to help couples who have decided to divorce or separate to discuss matters and assist them to make decisions about their and their families’ futures. It can be used to make the best arrangements for you in relation to how the children are cared for or how finances will be organised. The process is managed by the mediator but you decide what matters to discuss and set the agenda.
