Whilst MacDonald Oates LLP is a well established firm, founded before the Second World War, we are a growing and thriving practice and the last three years has seen significant office expansion, both in Petersfield and Midhurst, latterly with the recent move of the Petersfield office.
The firm is ideally situated to assist not only those in the immediate vicinity of Petersfield and Midhurst, but further afield in West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey, and indeed both offices are situated close to the Surrey border. The Petersfield office has excellent rail and road links and is situated on the A3 corridor, whilst the Midhurst offices lies midway between Chichester and Guildford, around ten minutes from the main line station of Haslemere.
Whilst, due to its size, the firm is able to offer a highly personal, tailored service, many of the firm’s lawyers have trained either with London firms or with major regional practices. This enables the firm to offer a London quality service at a very competitive price. We also have a tradition of developing our own lawyers and a number of our solicitors have trained within the firm, progressing to partnership.
Whilst the firm is particularly strong in its expertise in private client services, we are also able to offer a wide range of commercial services to clients both locally and further afield. A particular strength of our practice is our family law department, which has grown substantially over recent years to become one of the leading departments in the south east outside London.
