Deborah Taylor

Deborah is the firm’s Senior Partner.

Deborah practices in all areas of Family law including Divorce, Ancillary Relief, Children and Unmarried Couples. She has considerable experience and has built a particularly strong reputation as a specialist in cases involving substantial assets and “bigger money” cases. Deborah has also undergone training as a mediator and as a collaborative lawyer.
Career History
Deborah studied at Bristol University where she obtained an Honours Degree in Economics and Accounting. She went on to train with Beachcroft Hyman Isaacs in London (now Beachcrofts). After qualifying as a solicitor in 1977, Deborah remained with Beachcrofts, specialising in medical negligence until 1981 when she left work and London to have a family. After two years working part-time with Patersons in Midhurst, Deborah joined MacDonald Oates in March 1987 where she has remained ever since. Deborah has been a Partner at the firm since 1993 and was appointed Senior Partner in 2011.
Professional Associations
Deborah is an Accredited specialist with Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association) with particular specialism in advanced financial provision.
Deborah is a trained Collaborative Lawyer and Family Law Arbitrator.
Personal
In her spare time Deborah enjoys holidaying in Italy, France and Spain, as well as good food, theatre, walking, gardening and reading.
