We pride ourselves on our ability to understand our clients’ business needs and objectives. We recognize that knowing our clients’ businesses is often a key part of resolving a dispute that has arisen and we appreciate that our clients rely on our advice in order to make an informed decision about how to proceed. Our lawyers are commercially minded and we seek to offer sensible advice and support throughout, from the early stages of a dispute to pursuing enforcement of a Judgment.
Whilst there are times where a claim will need to be fought there are also times where settlement is the better course. We therefore assess the merits of a claim at the outset and provide pragmatic advice to our clients when advising them about pursuing or defending a claim or when negotiating a settlement.
Our Commercial Litigation team is experienced in dealing with a variety of product, sales, service and delivery claims as well as general contractual performance disputes. We also have experience of dealing with substantial claims arising out of Commercial Agency Agreements as well as Partnership and shareholder disputes.
In addition we are able to advise clients in respect of company restoration claims and insolvency law.
Other key areas of practice are professional negligence claims, building and construction disputes and debt recovery and enforcement.
Our clients include companies and individuals (whether they are sole traders or trading as a Partnership), as well as Trustees and Executors.
Where necessary, our Litigation team works closely with our Company and Commercial team in order to provide a tailored and seamless service to our business clients. When Court proceedings appear necessary we select and instruct specialist Commercial Barristers from leading Chambers to ensure that the right team is in place.
Our team has a wide experience and a proven track record of successfully bringing and defending commercial claims of all types from High Court disputes of a complex nature to smaller value, but equally important, cases in the County Court.
