We act for landowners, landlords and tenants in connection with a full range of disputes concerning their property, including residential, commercial and agricultural property. Our clients include property management companies, property investors and private individuals.

Our firm has experience of successfully dealing with property disputes at all levels, ranging from claims issued in the County Court or the High Court, to the Court of Appeal.

Our clients are able to benefit from the excellent network of contacts we have developed with a range of experts in this area of law, including specialist surveyors and valuers.  We also have close links with the leading Barristers’ Chambers specialising in property matters.

All of our property litigators are members of the Property Litigation Association (PLA).

Boundary & Land Disputes

We have particular expertise in dealing with boundary disputes, right of way and right of light actions, the enforcement of restrictive covenants, adverse possession and estoppel claims and Party Wall disputes.

We also act in cases requiring the removal of trespassers and where necessary obtain injunctions under the Protection from Harassment Act.

Residential and Commercial Landlord & Tenant Disputes

Our Property Litigation team acts for landlords and tenants of both commercial and residential property. Acting on behalf of commercial clients we provide specialist advice in respect of dilapidation claims, lease renewals, rent claims and termination of leases (including forfeiture proceedings).

For landlords and tenants of residential property we deal with claims for rent arrears, as well as claims for breach of covenant and disrepair claims.

We also offer a tailored service in respect of residential landlord and tenant possession proceedings. We have considerable experience in this field and have successfully recovered possession of properties for landlords throughout the country.

Co-Ownership Disputes

We regularly advise clients who have a dispute concerning a jointly owned property. We act for clients in making an application to the Court for a determination of the shares in which a property is held and, where necessary, an Order for Sale.

Building and Construction Disputes

Our Property Litigation team also has considerable experience of acting for commercial clients and private individuals in connection with building and construction disputes.
